Best of 2020 | Junipurr Studio

Three more days till we break out the bubbly and the wishing paper! Puts one in a reflective mood, doesn’t it?

What a prism of a year 2020 proved to be. Difficult – blindingly so at times – but not without some beauty. What are the bejeweled moments or lessons from 2020 you’d like to carry forward on your journey?

A few of mine:

The moment a shipment of PPE finally arrived for my mom, a frontline essential worker. A virtual Halloween party replete with costumes and games (I dressed up as Junipurr, of course). Soaking up with quiet mirth feisty Ms. Lil Junipurr’s voluntary decision to become a lap cat. A socially distanced Christmas cookie drop-off.

Also: Starting Junipurr Studio.

This decision was anything but par for the course, but once I got going, it felt like braiding together the core strands of my life and values – community, animal welfare advocacy, creative expression, love for books, and joy-centered activism.

Even in the short time that Junipurr Studio has been in existence, I’ve been humbled and delighted by the conversations of this budding community. If you are curious about some of the lessons I’ve learned this first year, please subscribe to the monthly Junipurr Studio Newsletter. The upcoming newsletter shares all :)

And if you are in the mood to waltz down memory lane together, here’s a recap of the best of 2020 on the Junipurr Studio blog. Since I create content that flows from the moment, and life threw all kinds of moments this year, the topics range from the serious (e.g. emergency prep for pets) to the light-hearted (e.g. brilliant cat artists on Instagram). Enjoy!

Cat Parent Interview

Ain’t nothing more heartwarming than adoption stories, amirite?!

Cat Books & Goodies

Junipurr, as one would expect, has discerning whiskers. She and I dropped some truth bombs about our fav cat book & gear finds this year:

Feline Good

Even if life isn’t always fun and games, this here is a cat parenting blog. We get to have some pure fun & silliness in the mix! May I present:
